"If this goes any further, you'll really have to marry me..." YingShua was always good at testing Su-Lia's resolve. He was afraid of losing her just as much as he wanted her to be safe. This hurtful looking face was definitely calling for a big kiss! (Chapter 21 - A Waiting Home)

Love is a Journey

This piece is my all time favorite as it is the very first illustration of my cover and character concept. I wanted the piece to portray emotions, love, and hardship all at once that intertwines the two words.

"The man in front of me belonged to my past and my future. A life with him was what my heart promised. Forever was only possible if it was with him." Su-Lia Chang's vow in her heart. (Chapter 19 - A Familiar Love)

"There is no next lifetime, this lifetime is ours." ~Su-Lia Chang (Chapter 29 - A Chosen Destiny)

One of my favorite creation of Su-Lia. I made sure her hair was on point as well as all her facial expression. This is exactly how I envisioned this strong, amazing girl in my book! She knows YingShua could never take his eyes off of her and she's good at teasing him crazy.

"If he turns around, I'll miss him more. His back is enough." ~Su-Lia Chang (Chapter 27 - The Muse Man)

This is my own AI creation with a combination of graphics design, photo editing, digital art paint made this the perfect painting of YingShua. Six years of separation, Su-Lia didn't want to see his face because it hurts to remember him.

"The woman who also believed in a love that could never be--should be and will be." (Chapter 18 - The Belly Trap)

I really enjoyed designing and drawing all the minor details of my very own AI Su-Lia. I'm extra happy about the necklace; so on point!

I named this piece: This Lifetime is Ours

I wanted to show a close-up of how my wonderful artist, Kelly did such a fine and detailed job of making sure my vision was matched to the stroke. Every bit of this piece I can tell was drawn so beautifully with passion. I am thankful for all her patience on this piece that means so much to the book.

We worked diligently as a great, compatible, artistic fit. Everything flowed so smoothly. All the details in this fully drawn piece are all pleasing.

This is an important scene in the book when YingShua went through heart-wrenching events he met a stranger.

Little YingShua was only ten. He thought he'd be facing hardship alone but little did he know this little girl was going to make his world whole again.

Chaper 30 - The Sight

The final piece that is going inside the First Edition Hardcover. After all the sacrifices they went through, they really deserve this moment!

A Timeless Comeback

For all my art pieces, I carefully chose artists who saw my vision and he was one of the first professional artist that captured my vision. I'm grateful for all the work he's done for me and more in the future. This piece is Su-Lia in the future six years after returning from the past.
